Tallinn City Adventure is a fun and captivating team game in the streets of the Old Town.
This competitive adventure is about orienteering in the streets of the Old Town while tackling various tasks with the help of a map. The adventure is a suitable round-up for a seminar or other business gathering, but you could just as well have a bit of fun with your friends, or introduce Tallinn?s Old Town to foreign visitors in a unique way.
How is the game played? At the beginning of the game we divide participants into small groups (3-5 persons), so that everyone has a particular function. The team?s goal is to fill in a crossword puzzle on the Old Town as quickly and accurately as possible. The crossword contains questions about Estonia in general and 22 questions about different objects in the Old Town. For help, you can use the Old Town map and the cleverness of your teammates. In finding a solution, everything is allowed! Besides finding your way with the map, the team has to use their brains to find the correct answer!
The team decides on the approach to tackle the tasks. What makes the game more exciting is the fact that the game is not only about orienteering, but strategy and tactics also play an important role. To be successful, the team needs cleverness in finding answers and speed in reaching the checkpoints.
When looking for answers, the participants visit the castle of Toompea, the town wall, the tower of Paks Margareta (Fat Margaret), as well as many other historical sites.
The winner is the team that solves the crossword the most accurately during the given timeframe, or that solves the crossword the fastest. The game lasts for about two and a half hours.
Later, we shall round up and analyse the team?s tactics and award the best team. The round-up can be organised outside in the summer or in a pub or restaurant at any other time of the year. The game usually begins at the Town Hall Square beneath the clock, but the starting point could be anywhere in the Old Town. This adventure is suitable for groups of 10 to 140 people. The event can be organised year-round as well as done in the dark at night. In such a case, we shall provide each participant with a LED head lamp and a reflector.
The game can be held in Estonian, Finnish, or English.
